Flower rich meadows were once widespread throughout the UK, however since the second world war, 97% per cent of them have been lost to development and intensive farming. As a result, there is a growing interest in creating small and large meadow schemes to help reverse this loss as well as enhancing gardens and estates with low maintenance areas filled with wildlife.
