New Build Near Watlington

Babylon Design was approached in 2016 to take over a partially designed garden for a new build house. Another company had designed the main bones of the garden but there was no planting plan and the clients did not wish to continue with the original company.

Babylon Design implemented the scheme making some changes to better incorporate the completed house and its landscape and then developed the planting schemes.

The front and back gardens were designed in very different styles to reflect their differing aspects and light levels. Whilst the back garden became a shady paradise with Japanese Maples and ferns relishing the shade under mature silver birch trees, the front was perfect for a sun baked scheme using grasses, summer perennials and Mediterranean style shrubs.

Two years on it is hard to believe that these areas were simply a mass of bare earth and weeds.
